Pashupatinath in Nepal

Pashupatinath is a large Hindu temple complex located on both sides of the Bagmati River on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Pashupatinath is considered the world's most important holy temple of Shiva (Pashupati, the king of animals, or otherwise the lord of living beings). Every day thousands of pilgrims from all over the world come to Pashupatinath, mainly from Nepal and India. In February-March, Maha Shivaratri is celebrated - the night of Shiva, when tens of thousands of believers gather at this temple for festive ceremonies.
